1. Hilda Baci – Breaking Guinness World Records.
Hilda Baci, a celebrated Nigerian chef, made global headlines by breaking two Guinness World Records:
• The largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice (8,780 kg)
• The longest cooking marathon.
Her passion, resilience, and culinary excellence have made her an icon of determination in Nigeria and beyond.
2. Tiwa Savage – Making History at the Coronation of King Charles III.
Tiwa Savage became the first African artist to perform at the coronation of a British monarch. Her performance of “Keys to the Kingdom” at King Charles III’s coronation concert solidified her reputation as one of Africa’s most powerful voices.
3. Pelumi Nubi – The First Black Woman to Drive from London to Lagos.
Pelumi Nubi embarked on a historic solo journey from London to Lagos, covering 16 countries in 73 days. Her courage and adventurous spirit have inspired millions across Africa.
4. DJ Cuppy – Leading Youth Voices at the United Nations.
Florence OTedola popular known as DJ Cuppy made history as the first Nigerian to host an opening session at the United Nations General Assembly, moderating the Youth Action Day and performing to inspire young people around the world.
5. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie – A Global Storytelling Icon.

8. Valerie of Africa – First Nigerian Woman to Climb Mount Kilimanjaro on International Girl Child Day.
Valerie Opia popular known as Valerie of Africa, an adventure tourism advocate,convener of project 165 days Across Africa and African model personality, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route on International Girl Child Day – 11 October 2025.
She made history as the first solo Nigerian woman to achieve this feat on Girl Child Day.
A domestic-violence survivor and single mother of three daughters, Valerie dedicated her climb to the Girl Child, symbolizing resilience, empowerment, and hope.
Her achievement reinforces the strength of African women in tourism and adventure, earning her global recognition and awards.
9. Adejoke Lasisi – Turning Waste Into Wealth.
Adejoke Lasisi is a social entrepreneur transforming plastic waste into eco-friendly products. Her innovative recycling business has gained international applause and environmental awards.
10. Adeola Ogunmola Sowemimo – Breaking Barriers in Aviation.
Adeola Ogunmola Sowemimo became the first Nigerian female pilot to fly the Boeing 787 Dreamliner for Qatar Airways. Her success continues to inspire young girls to explore careers in aviation and STEM.
